I remembered having a few giglish moment while capturing Navin and Shamini's photo. After their traditional ceremony, we proceed to Batu Caves for some outdoor shots. While we were there, so many tourists surrounded us and made a long que awaiting to capture their moments with the newlywed till Navin hurried us off else it'll be never ending..haha..So , we headed back to home and were welcomed by parents and relatives. After some simple ceremony and paying respects to the elderly, finally it's time to enter their room. Something happened in the room while we were taking some shots which I just couldn't control myself but burst out laughing as well ..hehe..What happened? Well that's for us to know and for you to find out Nevertheless, we had a great day

Yi and Li rhymes very well. Now could you guess who's Yi and who's Li? The Yi and Li couple were very laid back when I first met them. Without surprise, their wedding style and theme were as laid back too. When I got to know the bridesmaids prepared only one game to trick the groom, the evil me actually taught them to hide the real key and to bargain for as much ang-pau as possible..hehe..Well, my main intention was to lengthen the game session as well as creating more atmosphere of excitement while I clicked away..hehe.. sorry yah Yi.

Link: WPPI 2011 Second Half Competition Result

A month ago, I submitted this photo which I named "Beginning Of A Day" to enter the WPPI Second Half Competition. With 3200 image entries this round, the competition for imaging excellence was fierce. Not only was the entries fierce, the judges were fierce too. No winners were selected for Portrait Glamour and no third winner for both Wedding Photojournalism and Portrait Animal Pets category. Eagerly waited for the result and when I finally received the result through e-mail at 1.30am our time, my wife and I totalling 4 eyes actually missed the word "Second Place"!! Mata sepet or wut @@ Only half an hour later did I realise what we've missed and was jumping for joy. Yoohoo..thought that's a good wrap up for year 2011

Gary and Phyllis is one fun couple. Naturally we had one fun wedding in Malacca as well..hahah..Eventhough the groom and his entourage arrived extremely late, and the bridesmaids smiles were all wilting with time, they immediately turned into some sweet *with some devilish tinge* the moment they heard the arrival of the groom's car. As the game session kick start, it's more of like a punishment session and the smartly dressed groom ended up with sweaty hair and loosen tie..brr..still, jokes kept cracking during the tea ceremony..hah..that's the fun of it. Earlier on, I was told by the newlyweds that they had a great deal from their bridalhouse. At the end of the wedding reception, I understood why by seeing the collection of gowns Phyllis had for the night..haha..

Remember my previous post about my assignment in Dewan Perdana Felda? This was the second time all in a week..haha..coincidence eh..Arshad and Nurul had engaged me for their 3 big days. One in Dewan Felda, another in Tropicana Golf & Country Club and their Akad Nikad ceremony as well. However, my second photographer was assigned to capture their moments during the Akad Nikah ceremony as I was engaged for Chang Haur & Cecilia's wedding. Therefore, photos of the Akad Nikad are not posted on my gallery. During both the reception, Nurul's father said "Darren, make sure I look good.. ok?" Yes, on both reception..hehe..So, when I was going through their photos, this reminder kept playing in my head and every photo of his, this line keep recurring in my mind. Kinda haunting ler, Uncle...haha

As I was mentioning about Gary and Cherie's wedding to my wife, we recalled all my client who had their reception in Cyberview danced-in instead of the normal march-in. I had Gary to confirmed that it was their idea and not suggested by Cyberview. What a coincidence. Apart from that, he had lots of ideas for his wedding, both pleasant and romantic. He even called me secretly to let me know which song he would like to use for his wedding montage specially dedicated for his wife. He's sure to melt Cherie's heart. Naiizz~~

This was my second time at Jane's place. First, was during Patricia's (Jane's elder sis) wedding. It felt like just yesterday when I was capturing her moments. Now, I had the chance to capture her little princess as well. How time flies. Now, back to Danny and Jane. Danny is a Singaporean. Hence, we actually went "over-the-sea" to complete the wedding ceremony and dinner reception. Though sounds kinda far, but with proper planning and cooperation from all parties, we had some time for candid shots round Danny's place. The newly-wed even had time to sit and relax while sipping their tea in the hotel before their reception. Bliss~~
