Wedding Photographer Malaysia

Drove up to Sitiawan, Perak, at night for a wedding assignment the next morning. Have not been to Sitiawan before, but luckily I have my assistant, GPS to guide my way. Depart from my house at 9:00pm and finally reached Sitiawan at 12:00midnight. Gosh, 3 hours of driving, furthermore, was raining all the way.

Tired, I better get some sleep now. ;)

Upgrade is a must

Due to overload of work flow, my old system (P4 3GHz, 2GB RAM) can't cope with what I needed. The system is running slow and it slows down my work. :( Finally decided to bring forward my plan again, "UPGRADE SYSTEM" which was schedule to be done in year 2009. Without hesitation, bought a new motherboard, 4GB of RAM, Intel Core 2 Quad 2.83GHz processor and assemble it on my own. Upgrading system is not as easy as it seems. From formating to installing operating system, installing software programs and to restore settings. All this took me a day time. :-/

All hard work are not put to waste as the difference is real obvious. Programs respond very much faster. Comparing the previous system, compiling a slide show into DVD took 12 minutes, with this new system, it took only 2 minutes.

Malaysia Wedding Photographer

I am now a member of Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). It has always in my plan but it's now a reality. Actually is my next year plan to submit my site to be reviewed in order to qualify for it's membership.

There are rules and regulations to follow in order to meet the WPJA membership requirements. Due to encouragements from friends and clientele, decided to bring forward my plan and made my submission last week. Since then, I've kept my fingers crossed till yesterday when I've received the green lights from its' administration department.

First mission accomplished, and there are many more to go... hopefully everything goes on smoothly. GAMBATTE!!! :P

Nikon D3, 24-70 f2.8, 14-24 f2.8

February 9th, 2008

 Yeap, you are right. I have got myself a Nikon D3, together with lens 14-24 and 24-70. D3 is now the top, best in Nikon Professional DSLR series. This machine is so hot, is under waiting list. I have book it since early December 2007 and I am glad that it has finally arrived 2 days before Chinese New Year, so that I can have fun with it during break. I am Nikon D200 user, so it doesn't take me too long to go through its 1 inch thick user manual  Buttons locations and functions are more or less same as D200 and D2X/s.

The main reason for me getting Nikon D3 is its ISO performance. I have read some review about its ISO performance and couldn't belive my eyes after I shots some photo from it at high ISO ranging from 1600 to 6400. 88| I'm speechless! Shooting at ISO3200 is a dream come true. At ISO6400 is still bearable. Alongside with some new features, Full Frame Sensor(FX), 51 focus points, 2 CF slots, super sharp 3 inch LCD, live view, and the list continue. What can I say? Nikon D3, totally different BEAST!
